Using the HtmlEditor

I have been trying to use the HTMLEditor control and have a problem that though the control renders OK I cannot enter text. I think I must be doing something stupid but cannot see why.

As a test I:
  1. Created a new silverlight application
  2. I copied the PageHtmlEditor.xaml from to showcase project to this test project
  3. Edit App.xaml to piont that PageHtmlEditor.xaml by default.
  4. Added a reference to the SLExtensions.Control
  5. Compiled and ran the test project, I see the HTML editor light blue box with the buttons, but cannot enter text. If I debug I can see the button events being handled

If I run the Showcase project it all works fine, what have I missed, does the menu that selects which control to demo in the showcase do something extra?

Hi rfennell,

To use the HTMLEditor control you must put your application in windowless mode :
<param value="true" name="windowless"/>
This mode allows the html overlay.
